STUD SERVICES

We offer stud services to superior quality males classed by Dr Jim Watts using the SRS® breeding system. All of our males have been skin tested for density, length and the fineness of the primary (guard) fibre and have been been placed on the SRS® recommended list of males. Males placed on this list must meet the ever increasing bench marks set by Dr Jim Watts and have their progeny assessed annually.

Marriglen Delta – Solid White

Glenhope Chester – Solid White

Chachani Mochica – Solid White

Halcyon Stars & Stripes – Solid White

Our machos are sourced from superior bloodlines. They are early maturing with high fertility levels.

Drive through or on-farm matings with discount packages for multiple matings. Mobile matings on your farm or transport of your animals to Glenhope can be arranged.

Marriglen Delta – IAR 70884

Dam – Marriglen Victory

Sire – Somerset Accoyo challenger

Marriglen Delta is classified as an advanced wool male in the SRS® breeding system with a high density and SP (secondary to primary) ratio score. His first progeny had great success at Armidale Wool Expo winning 12 ribbons including Champion Junior female and Champion and Reserve Champion Intermediate female. One of his progeny Red Ridge Snow White also won Supreme Champion at Toowoomba Show in 2008 so congratulations to Peter and Shirley Berry. Glenhope Cyrah was Supreme Champion at the New England show in 2010. Other progeny have been very successful in the show ring with a number of championships over the last few years. He is certainly a male that has an impact across a variety of females and beeds uniformity into progeny. Other breeders using his services have been very happy with the outcome.

Glenhope Chester – 109734

Dam – Glenhope Glad

Sire – Marriglen Delta

Chester’s dam has an excellent frame, low primary fibres and high density. Glenhope Chester is very even across his fleece with a very low standard deviation of his primary(guard) (2.5µ) and his secondary(3.0µ) fibres with a high density score (58). He commenced working at 2 years of age and his first progeny are now on the ground. Chester’s last year fleece (30 to 48mths) won the Champion Senior Fleece at the New England Show and a third place at the National show.

Chachani Mochica IAR 107910

Dam – Barrabinda Joeys Gold

Sire – Windsong Valley Iceman

Chachani Mochica (jointly  owned)commenced working at the beginning of 2010. He is very soft and has well defined deep bold crimp. His dam (now owned by Glenhope) is from the very famous Nikita line that has performed extreemly well over the years. His first progeny are due in January 2011.

Mochica’s second fleece -

Halcyon Stars & Stripes – 108374

Dam – Halcyon Sollacotta Sunbeam

Sire – Halcyon  Alianza Alloro

Stars brings a unique addition of genetics to Australia. His dam & sire were much sort after at the Halcyon sale. He is a high density male with an exceptionally high SP (secondary to primary) ratio of 13.5. His first progeny are on the ground and we are pleased with the result as are other breeders who have used him in their herds.
